Our youth may not comprise 100% of our population, but they undeniably represent 100% of our future. The most effective way to shape a brighter tomorrow is to empower and train the younger generation. With this vision in mind, we offer targeted internships for students, with a particular focus on the behavioural domain. In today’s highly competitive academic and professional environment, internships have become an essential component of comprehensive education. They bridge the divide between theoretical learning and practical application, enabling students to hone critical analytical skills, gain hands-on research experience, and grasp the real-world relevance of behavioural sciences across business, management, and decision-making. These internships also promote professional networking, significantly boost employability, build confidence, and offer deep insights into industry-specific challenges—making them invaluable for students aspiring to careers in management, psychology, economics, marketing, finance, or allied fields.
Recognising this need, the Behavioural Research Foundation (BRF) offers a structured Internship Programme designed exclusively for undergraduate, postgraduate, and research students interested in behavioural research from any discipline.
Through this initiative, interns work closely with our experienced faculty and researchers on live projects involving consumer behaviour, behavioural finance, behavioural marketing, emotional intelligence, decision-making under uncertainty, and other allied areas. Interns receive mentorship from BRF’s distinguished experts, contribute to ongoing research, and assist in data analysis, literature reviews, report preparation, and event organisation. We have a pool of resource persons from various reputed organisations, including IIMs, IITs, NITs, Central Universities, and Corporations.
Several employees from reputable organisations have kindly volunteered to share their valuable industry expertise and insights with our students. These include professionals from Jindal Steel and Power Limited, Stock Holding Corporation of India, ICICI Bank, IDBI Bank, ITC. Larsen & Toubro (L&T) and many more esteemed companies. This initiative is powered entirely by the willingness of individual corporate professionals to give back, mentor, and bridge the gap between theory and practice—ensuring students receive authentic, practical perspectives straight from experienced practitioners in the field.
The program benefits from a strong blend of resource persons from both academia and the corporate world, offering students the best of both realms. Academia provides a deep foundation in robust theories and conceptual understanding, while the corporate sector brings rich practical exposure and real-world application. Students undertaking their internship at BRF are expected to gain significantly from this combined effort, bridging theoretical knowledge with hands-on industry experience for well-rounded development. Â
We offer flexible internship durations of 4, 6, or 8 weeks, enabling students to choose a timeline that aligns with their academic calendar and commitments.
Recognising the logistical and financial challenges faced by students across India, BRF also offers these internships in an online mode. This approach ensures greater accessibility for learners from any location, eliminates the need for travel and accommodation expenses, and allows participants to engage without disrupting their regular studies. Depending on project requirements, certain components of the training may be conducted offline. As a result, the program adopts a blended format that combines online and offline elements.
